Virtual ‘Finals Frenzy’ is May 3 through 7

The final week of each college semester for students is insane: multiple final exams, essays, and making sure to get everything in before it’s too late.
Usually, when campus is open, LCC will host the “Finals Frenzy” in the main Gannon Building hallway, and offer many different activities.
This spring’s frenzy will be different due to COVID-19 restrictions, but still fun and exciting for LCC students. All of the events will be virtual this year. The event will run from May 3 to 7 and will include prizes for contest winners.
“Finals Frenzy is a way for students to enjoy and unwind during the final week of classes,” said LCC Conference Services Manager Kelly Hekler. “With all of the events being virtual again this year, it’s also a way for students to share pictures and relate to other students learning at home.
“There are Instagram photo contests, as well as resources … like local walking trails, a yoga class taught by an LCC instructor, and even videos of cute puppies to replicate our usual in-person therapy dogs.”
“We will be giving away $25 gift cards to a local business of the winner’s choosing,” Hekler said. “They can also choose between Target and Amazon if the local businesses aren’t near them. The prizes will be awarded to people participating in our daily Instagram photo contests.”
The website will be up and running soon. Once it is, students can visit the Finals Frenzy webpage to view a list of the events going on and how they can participate in them.
