Editorial: Valentine’s Day alternatives
From The Lookout Staff
Valentine’s Day is this Sunday, Feb. 14, and many wonder what activities they can do with their significant other, friends or on their own.
Restaurants have opened up again, but only at 25 percent capacity. Therefore the odds of getting a reservation on one of the busiest nights of the year, let alone during a pandemic, are slim.
The Lookout staff does not recommend going out for Valentine’s Day.
Instead try out these creative indoor activities:
- Romantic indoor picnic: Spend time together by cooking a meal and setting up a picnic in the living room.
- Game night: Pull out some of those games that have been collecting dust and have some fun.
- Movie night: Pop some popcorn, turn off the lights and create your own home movie theater.
- Indoor
camping: Lay out some sleeping bags, build a blanket fort and unleash your
inner child.
And of course, candy and flowers are still allowed. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
