Writing Support: If you would like assistance with any writing assignments, I encourage you to visit The Writing Center in room 251 of the Arts & Sciences Building. Peer Writing Assistants are available to help you work on your writing at any stage of the writing process. You may schedule appointments by calling The Writing Center at 483-1907, or you may drop in during the open hours, posted on the door. Click on the link above for more information.

Notes on due dates

Text Reading: have assigned reading done by Mondays before 5:00 p.m.
Online Activities: We will be doing activities in the Angel discussion forum that help you prepare for essays, discuss your writing, explore the reading and so on.

I will post instructions for these activities Monday afternoons. All of these activities must be completed before the week is over, usually Saturday midnight (see below).

Assignments due: As with online activities, I will post instructions for essays, online activities and writing exercises by Mondays 5 p.m.

Consequently, completed work that you send to me will be due by Saturday midnight (unless otherwise noted--which it is for the week 1 writing sample).

  • And you can find all instructions by clicking on the assignment's label for the week, including essay assignment pages. For example, under week 1, you will find instructions linked to Writing Sample and online  activities/writing exercises.

Abbreviations: CEL refers to the Composition of Everyday Life and PSM refers to a Pocket Style Manual.
