Students discuss spring break plans
By Julie Newell
The much-anticipated spring break is on the horizon for LCC students. It begins the week of March 9.
Around this time last year the world was just beginning to shut down due to COVID-19. Today, most of the country has strict restrictions, but the majority of people are working and going to school from home.
The question for LCC students at the moment is: What are you doing for spring break?
Eli Galgoci, a second-year biochemistry and molecular biology student, has plans close to home this year.
“My plans for spring break are to go home and spend the week with my family,” Galgoci said.
First-year sign language student Suzanna Carlson said she plans to travel.
“For spring break I am driving to Gulf Shores, Ala., with two of my sisters and my brother-in-law,” Carlson said. “We are just planning to relax and be together; to get away for a bit.”
Fourth-year nursing student Becky Adair said she has no plans to travel.
“I’m just working for spring break. Because of COVID, traveling just doesn’t seem ideal,” Adair said.
Whether you stay home or travel, stay safe and have fun this spring break.
